Lower Sioux Indian Community Art Incubator

In 2018 Sweet Grass, along with Kimberly Pate Consulting and Painted Skye Management, were invited by the Lower Sioux Indian (Cansa’yapi) Community to conduct a feasibility study. The community had dreamed and planned of a place for elders to rest and teach, adults to learn, work, and thrive, and for children to play and be immersed in Dakota ways of knowing and being. The results were overwhelmingly positive and they are now just months away from groundbreaking on a new facility!
